 Job Description

You will be responsible for setting-up prep stations, stocking inventory, maintaining sanitation standards, preparing, cooking and plating the items on our menu and creating specials. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.



Responsibilities

• Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen is set up and stocked.

• Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu.

• Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.

• Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.

• Stock inventory and supplies.

• Create daily specials.


Requirements

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability for multi-tasking.

• Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.

• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Honesty, integrity, and a good work ethic – a must!


Wages

Full-time, Part-time

Pay range: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Flexible hours: 24-40 per week

Kitchen Manager Wanted

Job Description

You will be responsible for scheduling, supervising and helping setting-up prep stations, maintaining sanitation standards, preparing, cooking and plating the items on our menu, creating specials, stocking inventory, and keeping track of budgets, costs and food waste. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, organization, people management and multi-tasking skills. Ultimately, you will play an essential role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and restaurant growth.


Responsibilities

• Schedule and provide direction to all kitchen staff, ensuring execution of all employee duties throughout all shifts.

• Monitor kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and fire department regulations.

• Ensures compliance with state, federal, and local food handling requirements and standards.

• Completes the duties of a line cook when needed, and is capable of performing the duties of all kitchen positions.

• Ensures products are stored at the correct temperature and the recipe books are up to date with current menu items, portions, and ingredients.

• Orders all ingredients and keeps track of the inventory. Participates in monthly inventory process. Keeps track of waste and overages.

• Anticipates, identifies, and corrects any issues with inventory, systems, and staffing.

• Monitors labor and food costs to attain budgeted goals.

• Oversees and approves training and development of kitchen staff.

• Participates in the hiring process by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.

• Assists in completion of all back-of-house employee 30-day and annual reviews.


Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Cook and Manager. Experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef, a plus!

• Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients

• Ability to cook and plate all menu items

• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations

• Excellent organizational skills

• Conflict management abilities

• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment

• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends is a plus!

• Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management – also a plus!

• Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.

• Must have reliable transportation.
